a little love goes a LONG way
Our high maintenance gal! These stunning crackling wicks are quite the treat if you follow these steps. Treat your wood wick as a small campfire. It may need a little extra work to keep going. I recommend using a BBQ lighter for these and keeping the flame on the wick for 15-30 seconds until the entire wick has a steady, strong flame. An extinguished flame may mean the wick wasn't trimmed enough. Break the charred tip with your fingers or use fingernail clippers if you don't have wick trimmers on hand. Keep your wood wick about 1/4 inch above the wax for best results.
all soy candles
Your first burn sets the burn for your entire candle's life. Burn your candle for at least 1-2 hours or until the soy wax has melted to the edge of the jar to avoid tunneling. Do not burn your candle for any more than 4 hours at a time.
Never ever move a burning candle - especially at the end of the candle's life, this may cause your wick to move at the bottom of your jar.
Discontinue use when 1/4 inch of wax remains - time to burn a new scent!
Please note, candles should not be left in direct sunlight for extended periods of time for example, placed on window sills. Some fragrance blends have been known to yellow when exposed to sunlight. Because of our clear glass jars and clear labels, imperfections of any kind cannot be hidden. Therefore, if you use your candles for decor purposes and do not tend to burn them, keeping them out of sunlight will help extend it's milky white appearance. Please be aware this is a disclaimer that may occur. Not all candles will react this way.
Please follow the safety rules indicated on the bottom of your candle. You guys know the drill! Keep out of reach of pets and children. Burn on a heat safe surface - those babies get warm while burning - and keep away from drafts. Never leave a candle unattended.
Environment give back! I DO accept empty jars you do not have any use for. They make great test jars for future scents, etc. If you wish to return your empties, you can drop them in my Yellow Heart Crate located outside my front door at 15 Blake Drive, Goose Bay, NL.
